involved in the pioneering and development of new products from various
sources around the world. Richard founded Martin International in 1985 and
established Black Pearl as an international trademark synonymous with
consistent excellence in North American and European markets where Black Pearl
products are mentioned by name on menus and in leading retail establishments
around the globe.

Jim Scoon has been directly involved in the design and management of some of
the finest restaurants in the U.S.. Jim’s career spans menu and restaurant
design, wine making in New Zealand, menu consulting in western Europe and
broad experience in dealing with game, rare produce and specialty meats.
